About the event
Attention all baseball pitchers ages 11-18 in the Flathead Valley who are serious about dominating on the mound next summer! Ryan Malmin, the head coach of the AA Kalispell Lakers, will host an 7-Day camp on Sundays beginning October 28 and ending December 9, 2018. The goal of boot camp is to take campers to the next level of the physical and mental preparation it takes to be successful on the mound. Each camp day provides pitchers mental preparation and demanding physical workouts that include resistance tubing, medicine balls, and weighted ball exercises and explosive circuit training.
The Kalispell Lakers pitching staff is perennially the backbone to the program’s success which has had 11 All-State Pitchers in the last 11 years. In addition, the off-season program has worked for our campers… We have had a plethora of pitchers compete in camp and make immediate impacts on the mound for their teams at all age levels from Cal Ripken to Babe Ruth to Legion.
We want to work with anyone who has the desire and work ethic to get better. It is about creating an opportunity for kids in the Flathead Valley… Whitefish, Columbia Falls, Bigfork, and Kalispell… and provide them the tools to become more efficient and more effective on the mound
The cost of the 7-day camp is $125 and provides athletes with 10 hours of training, video analysis, a functional movement screen from OrthoRehab to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each pitcher’s delivery. Once the improper movement pattern is recognized, our therapists will individualize a specific functional exercise program for each camper to restore and strengthen the movement.
Go to www.kalispelllakers.org for more information and to register on-line. The deadline for this camp will be October 26, 2018. Camp will be limited to 24 Pitchers.
