We’re thrilled to announce that Mike O’Connell has been named our new AA Head Coach and full-time Director of Baseball for the  Kalispell Lakers!

A Kalispell native and proud Lakers alum, Mike is returning home to lead the very program that helped shape his baseball journey. His deep roots in the community, proven coaching experience, and strong academic background make him the perfect fit to guide the future of Lakers Baseball.

Coach O’Connell’s background includes:

• Head Baseball Coach – Miles City Community College

• Assistant Baseball Coach – Miles City Community College

• Assistant Coach – Glacier Range Riders (Pioneer League)

• M.S. in Sports Administration

• B.S. in Exercise Science

 

Mike brings a wealth of experience in player development, program leadership, and collegiate-level competition. His passion for teaching the game and commitment to excellence align perfectly with the Lakers’ mission to build outstanding players and even better young men.

 

As Director of Baseball, Mike will oversee all aspects of the program — from player and coach development to shaping a strong, year-round baseball culture that continues to elevate the Lakers’ tradition of success.

 

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Coach O’Connell back to Kalispell and look forward to an incredible future under his leadership.
